a. Online Privacy Standards. While there are no official standards governing privacy practices on the Internet, Locacious follows the principles supported by the Federal Trade Commission's Fair Information Practices Principles, currently available at http://www.ftc.gov/reports/privacy3/fairinfo.htm.
b. What This Policy Covers. This policy covers Locaciousí treatment of personally identifiable information that we obtain when you use the Service.
c. What This Policy Does Not Cover. This policy does not cover the privacy practices of third parties that we do not own or control, such as any partners and advertisers we may work with. In addition, we may provide links to other services and on occasion to other sites that may interest you. All of these sites operate independently of Locacious, and they have their own privacy or security practices. For your best online experience, Locacious encourages you to review their policies before submitting any personal information to them.
2. Privacy and Children Under 13.
Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important. For that reason, Locacious does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register as users in compliance with various federal and state regulations, including the Childrenís Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

If you are under 13, please do not send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number or email address. No one under age 13 is allowed to provide any personal information to or on Locacious. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. 3. Gathering of Personally Identifying Information.
You may choose to interact with Locacious or the Service in ways that require Locacious to gather personally identifying information. The amount and type of information that Locacious gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, ask you to provide a username (ďUser IDĒ), email address and describe your interests and tours. In each case, Locacious collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitorís interaction with Locacious or the Service. Locacious does not disclose personally identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Service-related activities.
4. Gathering of Non-Personally Identifying Information.
Locacious may collect non-personally identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site and the date and time of each visitor request. Locaciousí purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Locaciousí visitors use its Service. From time to time, Locacious may share non-personally identifying information with others in the aggregate, e.g., reports on trends in the usage of its Service, but this information does not identify any individual Users.
Locacious also collects potentially personally identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in Users. Locacious only discloses logged in User IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally identifying information as described below.
5. Location Tracking Information.
When users contribute to Locacious using their mobile devices, Locacious will collect location tracking information that tells Locacious the locations of Users contributing, based on the location of their device. We use location-tracking information for the purposes of showing you nearby places, verifying your location and enabling you to access other location-based features of the Service. When users contribute to Locacious, Locacious collects information relating to userís tours, such as tour content, the time and date of completion and the location related to the tour. In addition, participants may submit photos and related content to Locacious in the course of creating tours using Locacious.
6. Web Tracking Information.
The Service may use web tracking technologies such as cookies and clear GIFs in order to recognize visitors to the Locacious website and to analyze general User traffic patterns, and we collect data generated by use of such technologies. Some of this data may include data, such as IP address data, that is unique to you.
7. Aggregated Statistics and Broad Demographic Information.
Locacious may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its Service. Locacious may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, Locacious does not disclose personally identifying information other than as described below. Locacious does not sell email lists or other information to third parties.
8. Protection of Certain Personally Identifying Information.
Locacious discloses potentially personally identifying and personally identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on Locaciousí behalf or to provide services available at via the Service, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using the Service, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. Locacious will not rent or sell potentially personally identifying and personally identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, Locacious discloses potentially personally identifying and personally identifying information only when Locacious believes it is required to do so by law, or when Locacious believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Locacious, third parties or the public at large. If you are a registered user of the Service and have supplied your email address, Locacious may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with whatís going on with Locacious and the Service.
Locacious recognizes the importance of safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. Accordingly, we employ reasonable measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. However, no data transmission over the Internet or other network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect information transmitted on or through the Service, we cannot and do not guarantee the security of any information you transmit on or through the Service and you do so at your own risk.
From time to time, we may establish a business relationship with other businesses that we believe to be trustworthy and who have confirmed that their privacy practices are consistent with ours ("Service Providers"). For example, we may contract with Service Providers to provide certain services, such as hosting and maintenance, data storage and management and marketing and promotions. We only provide our Service Providers with the information necessary for them to perform these services on our behalf. Each Service Provider must agree to use reasonable security procedures and practices, appropriate to the nature of the information involved, in order to protect your information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Service Providers are prohibited from using such information other than as specified by Locacious.
Notwithstanding the above, Locacious may in any event use Personal Information and other information collected through the Service to the extent required by law or legal process, or if in Locaciousí reasonable discretion use is necessary to protect Locaciousí legal rights or to protect third parties.
14. Right to Remove Your Information.
You may delete content you publicly post on Locacious. Locacious reserves the right to retain copies of this information expressly for internal use.
